Lovecraft's " Horror at Red Hook " and the illegal immigration scene in the United States
Does it occur to oh-so-progressive Democrats that millions of American citizens - not hateful or " deplorable " - share President Donald Trump's " paranoia " ( ? ) about uncontrolled immigration-legal or illegal ? Perhaps we have a long dead literary genius here sharing this " paranoia . Last night I re-read H.P. Lovecraft's " Horror at Red Hook ". At the bus stop in Kennedy Plaza, Providence this morning I felt a chill beyond the cold day in April. The " People of the Abyss " were beginning their drugged and drunken UNSOBER days of endless smoking and brain dead begging. Often an ambulance is called to " rescue " a semi-conscious alcoholic fallen to the ground. A sign in Spanish on the RIPTA bus tells him he too can get HELP for addiction. These people don't need Karl Marx . They need Mother Teresa. And yes , a lot of them have crossed the Mexican border.
Illegal immigrant hell ?
