Steve, on Thursday I met my old friend Bill Briden at the Cranston Public Library . He saw that I was fine. And so was Bill . We went to lunch together at the Gov. Francis Farms in Warwick where Mom and Dad used to dine. I had a fairly light fish dinner . Bill had pasta with chicken . Later we went to Oakland Beach . I showed Bill my more " civilized " apartment since he had last seen it. I recall Bill having to use my bathroom right away ( food ? ) .
But late that Thursday night I started feeling not so much nausea as severe stomach cramps or indigestion. Whatever the cause my body system is no longer A -OK . Adrienne was a dear guardian angel as usual . She went to CVS for me and also renewed my cell phone service for me. This morning I woke up well rested and feeling much better. I had a light breakfast of cottage cheese and pineapple fruit. And took one diabetes pill. I left the apartment and caught the 8:45 bus to the Providence Public Library . Put in a good word for " Old Joe " Kennedy - the notorious anti-Semite - then left for the Cranston Public Library . Feeling hungry now I ordered a hot coffee and a turkey-sausage at DUNKIN before entering the Cranston Public Library . Dave Gold called me while I was still on the RIPTA 21 bus. He will call me back later this afternoon - on matters concerning Dave himself , of course.

What does gun CONTROL mean to most democratic socialists ? In general , SOCIALISM means rational CONTROL over all means of production now privately owned FOR PROFIT in capitalist America. If WE THE PEOPLE collectively exercised CONTROL over the gun and ammunition factories , these weapons of mass murder factories, daily mass murder horror shows will become nightmares of the past.

I fantasise about being in my 20s and having the freedom to basically do what I want when I want. To be able to apply for a job in another country with barely a thought and to get that job and move. To be able to just go and meet a mate for a drink on a Thursday. To be able to go the cinema at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. To be able to just sit in the park or at the beach and read a book for a few hours. To be able to go to bed at 3am and wake up at 12pm.
I may have been relatively poor and aimless in my 20s, but I was free.
Now, I don't feel free. I have too many responsibilities to other people to truly feel free.
And that makes me sad. I look lugubrious and/or haggered.
Like, it's fine. The kids will be all grown up before I know it and then I'll be sad that they're not little bundles of energy anymore and I'll have more time than I know what to do with…

Reverie on the old neighborhood by Saint Paul's Church
On my way to the William Hall Library in Cranston, RI I passed by my childhood -adolescent memory - St. Paul's Church. One of the few buildings that has not changed in decades ! At one time in 1950s and 1960s you could visit the church at any hour . Now the church doors are locked . No more spontaneous minutes for meditation. On Sundays in the early 60s my father , Domenic Ruggieri , would take about four or five of his now nine kids to the always crowded 11 o'clock mass. Our gang usually entered about 5 or 10 minutes late . So Pop and the 4 or 5 of us kids would remain standing in the back of the church. But what an attention getter for THE Don Rogers ( my father's WEAN radio name ). Pop was a kind man . We could never rebel against PIZZA & PUCCINI .
Mom always with a proverbial heart of gold did all the hard work just getting our Sunday clothes ready . Herself even polishing our " new " shoes. And attending to the special Italian- family recipe " gravy " for the usual Sunday afternoon macaroni and meatballs dinner ( with sausage and peperoni, and pork and Italian braciole -and now and then hot dog immersed in the rich, thick tomato sauce " gravy " )
And always a nice green ( Romaine ) salad with sliced tomatoes and lots of vinegar and olive oil. A fresh loaf of sliced Italian bread there in a basket. . Even before Sunday dinner I would dunk the end slice of bakery fresh Italian bread into the simmering " gravy " ; we could savor its rich smell the moment we returned home from church . It was Pop who would grate the cheese and mix the salad. THE FAMILY unit gathered at THE TABLE was sort of a sacred ritual . Even at age 10 I could have a glass of red wine diluted with orange soda. And there was always the inevitable touchy topic of discussion . Pop had very liberal views on racially mixed marriage back then. For this Grandma Engley hinted that Pop was slightly" cracked " . But with a gallon of Carlo Rossi Burgundy beside him on the kitchen floor, Pop never felt the stress of family " argument " . Or when Ma got sarcastic about his " Dream Time " fan mail . " You would do that job for nothing , Dear - which is what the station pays you. " But the nine of us ate well, were all normally happy and healthy , and had a nice big house on California Ave. in the Washington Park
neighborhood ( Providence , RI ) to live in . And wonderful neighbors - all WELCOMED in our home . A priest from St. Paul's ( Father Halloran ) gave Pop a certificate saying our home was " DEVOTED TO CHRIST THE KING " . And " DOMINUS VOBISCUM ! "

While waiting the Cranston Public Library to open on their Sunday hours I stopped at the nearby DUNKIN for hot coffee and a corn muffin. I was facing the TV but behind me was a group ( 7 or 8 ) of retired " regulars " who needed all present in DUNKIN to know just how surprisingly vacuous minds can be at any age. Closing my eyes I could think I was back in time in one of the more extremely LOW LIFE bars in downtown Providence circa 1973. Was it VON STUEBENS that even smelled like it was built over a cesspool ? But no pints of stale Narragansett Beer were needed to free the INNER IDIOT in them . Without even knowing what they were laughing and joking at anybody with a spark of old fashioned CULTURE would be chilled by the very sound of VULGAR IGNORANCE here. I still wonder : can one sentence from your mouth mark you as an IDIOT ?
So to get my point I reached for my cell phone and turned on " RECORD ".

Karl Marx in a pithy statement said long ago that the " RULING IDEAS ARE THE IDEAS OF THE RULING CLASS " Frightened by Marxian CLASS STRUGGLE themes, the more " liberal " ideologists of the American plutocracy - with inspiration and support from elite Ivy League schools - have virtually INVENTED " identity politics " over the past three decades. This way they create an image of themselves as being oh-so-sensitive to the EMOTIONAL needs of clinically " disturbed " individuals , and thereby create a sentimental circus distraction from their daily PROFIT SYSTEM endeavors . Voters will not fail to notice the difference, possibly even Woke Democrats lost in vaccine raptures and other cultish transports of self-righteousness.
I think RFK, Jr. sees very clearly the historical moment he represents. He's keenly aware of the shade thrown over this land by the murders of his father and President Kennedy, and he has said flat-out in so many words that our own CIA was behind the dastardly acts. He was in a position to know the animus between JFK and the founding director of the CIA, Allen Dulles, and the reckless blunders of the agency and its partners in the Pentagon who buffaloed President Kennedy into the Bay of Pigs farce and then tried to drag him deeper into the Vietnam quagmire. JFK resisted that, threatened to shred the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter them to the four winds… and Allen Dulles whacked him. He got away with it the same way that today's Intel "community" got away with RussiaGate and all their subsequent crimes. In short, Bobby Kennedy knows what it looks like when a government is at war against its own people.
Everybody I know is justifiably worried that the Intel spooks might have no qualms about whacking Bobby Jr. He is at least as dangerous to the establishment today as his father and uncle were back in their day. Thus, his bravery in stepping up now, knowing what he knows. At the least, he will drag a set of issues into the political arena that his rivals would prefer to keep out in the cold and dark. He'll get some assistance from events themselves, which are spooling out fast now.
The Neocon's Ukraine project had gone south. The result, which should be hugely embarrassing to our State and Defense departments, will be the paradox of Russia restoring order to a region that we wrecked on-purpose at great cost to the denizens of Ukraine — and, as Bobby pointed out, at great cost to the shattered American middle-class. Are my friends and family ODD in loathing the Democratic Party's war on SANITY ?
As a longtime independent democratic socialist I continue to be amazed by the WOKE Democratic Party's insane war on OBJECTIVE REALITY . Their sick impulse to daily mock the feelings and the common sense of traditional Christians in the United States. There can be NO Christians actively promoting the idea that a male IS a female if he wishes it and can get a charlatan sex change operation ( free of charge by a WOKE government ? ) .
The truth is that the very pillars of all this WOKE nonsense are invariably secular , often openly anti-Christian , ZIONIST Jews backed by the super-WOKE Ivy League schools.
