The idea of God , of a Supreme Being, connects all to ALL

Our brains sculpt each other. So why do we study them in isolation?

I recall the young Karl Marx writing somewhere that human consciousness is " a social product " - which I thought very profound years ago . Could not the primal fear of death be connected with the " soul " feeling imprisoned in a solitary skull ?

Being finally " dissolved " in an ocean of loving human " matrix " is less frightening than some imagined eternal nothingness " experienced " as if in the deep , absolute zero, satanic darkness of intergalactic space. SANITY itself is a matter of being properly " connected " ?

How much of you is YOU in other people ? In the final analysis we always return to the idea of God , of a Supreme Being that connects all to all, making life-ALL life - meaningful .

But then there is also the nightmare fear of the reality of H.P. Lovecraft's " cosmic horror ". WE have no home in the cosmos but here on planet Earth. And we read with appreciation Albert Camus' essay on the Absurd . The seemingly eternal SILENCE of God scares us . But even Saint Augustine thought that TIME itself had a beginning . IN THE BEGINNING : " Let there be light ! "
