Avoid addictions — to drugs, alcohol, tobacco, money, work, and the Internet — they are false gods. These addictions are serious distractions to your goals and are loaded with potential problems for you." Sounds like old-fashioned, sound Catholic moral advice to me. Only the fanatics of "identity politics" will try to vilify the good bishop as one of those right-wing "haters" that Hollywood depicts.
