The Catholic Church is
at its best when it truly represents a loving Christ on earth. From the
beginning -even taken as just one more HUMAN institution-its message of
love transcended the boundaries of tribes, kingdoms, empires, and later
nation states. The Latin language also gave it an aura of Holy Unity-
ONE in Christ.
Global capitalism has divided the world into hated national , ethnic, racial, and class super-prisons.
What spiritual force can free the world from " the dark night of the circumscribed I " ?
In the beginning the persecuted Christian community was very much a SHARE THE WEALTH movement.
What does the New Atheism propose for this unprecedented immigration crisis ? How irrelevant is the Catholic pope ? The Russian novelist Dostoevsky wrote : " If God does not exist, then everything is permitted ".
With its backing of U.S. imperialism ( recall Christopher Hitchens )-the root cause of this hell in the Middle East - the New Atheism has ceased even to be " humanistic ".
