I
suspect the " socialist " Democrat Bernie Sanders does have a lot in
common with the New Leader of the British Labor Party Jeremy Corbyn.
But I find it hard to believe that either Sanders or Corbyn can rise
above the class collaboration politics of traditional liberalism.
Militant socialists in both the United States and the United Kingdom might give critical support to one or the other. But only dramatic class struggle events can establish a truly socialist government anywhere on the planet.
By the way, the real Far Left is calling for a revival of socialist values in Russia and China. I can imagine the ghost of Mao throwing his Little Red Book at the leaders of the Communist Party of China. And how will Czar Putin celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution in just two years ? Russia -quite literally-cannot seem to bury Vladimir Lenin.
Since the onset of the Great Recession many leftist intellectuals are saying : " Marx was right ". Check that out on Google.
