The American ruling class fears the very idea of Socialism. An
independent ,democratic Socialist myself I served the cause here in
Rhode Island as a presidential elector for both the American Communist
Party and the Socialist Workers Party.
I still believe that the two party system is fundamentally corrupt. It can only serve the ONE PERCENT in NORMAL times. But even the left wing, FDR LIBERAL who likes to call himself a socialist, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont , can be an unconscious Bolshevik revolutionary.
To be sure, History has not ended. And History is ironic. So I myself am just a registered Democrat who gives critical support to this " socialist " Democrat Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont.
Not for nothing FDR was always called " That Man " by an embittered American plutocracy.
The collapse of the Soviet Union a generation ago was not the END OF SOCIALISM.
