World Socialist Perspective As a democratic socialist ( independent,no choice here in the USA ) I
am impressed with the intelligence and working class " perspective " of
the above article: a nightmare world of crisis and convulsions, indeed !
But I have read about " the death agony of capitalism " for more than 50 years now.( born 1947 ). It ALWAYS seemed true.
I have seen one " socialist " group after another disintegrate. A " crisis of leadership " ?
I do think it necessary to know the difference between a political PARTY-which has a real MASS following- and important but mostly propaganda oriented " socialist " organizations.
Close attention should be payed to the internal affairs of MASS political parties. The ordinary people involved with them cannot be brushed off as mere " dupes " of true enemies of the working class.
An organization which wants to become a PARTY should wallow in the everyday activities of these people,
I recall observing -decades ago- Socialist Workers PARTY members rarely even TALKING to ordinary class people except as " organizers " and " reporters ".
The " office " gets a little too cozy. " Socialists " always coming in from the cold -never going out to it.
Just a helpful WINTER reflection, I hope.
