Terrible transportation service for frail elderly in Rhode Island

Sep 17, 2024 I observed this feeble , certainly over 80 woman , eyes half shut , nearly crawling with a cane to the bus stop around 9:10 AM this morning . I thought the feeble ,slowly walking , very old lady would surely miss the coming RIPTA 30 bus. She just made it.. Boarding the bus she struggled to find her purse or her bus pass. I was hoping that the RIPTA bus driver -some of them are pretty rude and stupid - would not accelerate the bus while she made her way to the nearest seat. An accident waiting to happen on RIPTA buses - this brainless acceleration of the vehicle. . But the old woman remained up front holding on to the rail. I was certain she could only be going to the medical office building a little further up Cranston Street. But the bus driver would not stop at that building . He let this pathetic old lady off at the next bus stop at the corner of Park Ave. She got off. Looking out the bus window , I could see she was indeed heading for that medical building . Here in WOKE WARRIOR Democrat Rhode Island transportation for the elderly and disabled is a disgrace.
