As a democratic Socialist I agree completely with Noam Chomsky that the
root of evil in the Middle East is world imperialism -and the New
Colonialism( Pope Francis ). Donald Trump is being blasted in the
capitalist news media as a war monger. But the American ruling class
seems more ready to let the more politically correct liberal Democrat,
Hillary Clinton, " Harpy Hillary " , start World War III.
Behold all the former European colonialists powers- " progressive occupiers " ?-now bombing Syria .The U.S. ruling class does this, of course, with Wilsonian blather: we still hear about the FREE WORLD -righteously destroying the lives of millions of Muslim people, creating this " unprecedented migration crisis "- then everywhere closing nation state borders to desperate refugees.
Yes, the American ruling class has no moral authority to lead any " war on terrorism " anywhere in the world. Martin Luther King would still say that America is the greatest purveyor of violence in the world. Not ISIS-not terrorism-but only international socialism can bring some sanity to the nightmare world of the 21st century.
