As a democratic Socialist-well aware of the aphrodisiac properties of
celebrity and wealth- I must give now old Bill Cosby the merciful
benefit of the doubt. I just listened to a 67 year friend -driving his
now junky Lincoln Town Car-tell me about all the erotic sexual
adventures he had with women -eager and willing young females-after he
inherited " only " a million dollars from his dead mother.They just
smelled MONEY, he said.
After paying cash for a new sports car this middle aged frog had turned into a real life prince, a Don Juan- the notorious " seducer of women " celebrated in the Mozart opera: .In a memorable scene Don Giovanni refuses to repent and a come-to-life statue - symbolizing AUTHORITY and high Catholic morals - escorts this proud but damned soul into the very fires of hell.
To be sure, not a few of these coldly seduced women made a shrine to The Don in their lust-haunted bed rooms.
Poor male peasants -even today - can only daydream of such delightful lechery. For them only melancholy and monotonous monogamy.
But let us pray for ALL lost souls .To forgive Don Giovanni is to forgive only the LIFE FORCE.
