Who is so smug and self
confident about their economic " independence " that they can afford to
sneer at this modest beginning of a national health care system ? In
this new century America even so called " middle class " types might be
just a paycheck away from living in their cars.
The former editorial page editor of this newspaper, Robert Whitcomb , had the right-or the Left- idea : just extend Medicare to all Americans.
Obama-care is a long way from Senator Ted Kennedy's dream of health care for ALL Americans as a basic human right.
And I find it ridiculous that our health insurance system separates dental health from general health care. Our vital teeth in the same category as Hair & Nails !
We are way behind Old Europe in basic humanity.Even Euro-capitalism is not the Ayn Rand model-so popular with EVERY Republican candidate for president.
