A socialist's lecture
I was impressed with Leon Trotsky's class struggle view of history way
back in the late 60s. I believe that there is objective truth-and LAWS-
in human history just as in natural history. I am no more tempted to
change my socialist views than I am to reconsider the Pythagorean
Theorem in geometry. And as working class person what did I lose by this
ideological tenacity ? I don't know. Perhaps a job on Talk Radio. It
preaches Ayn Rand Thought 24 hours a day.
When I visit the public library again I will print out North's lecture. And re-read it.
