As a democratic Socialist I can see the root of hatred in Dylann Roof's "
hate filled manifesto " in the official contempt for poor and working
class white people for decades now. The poor white kids have become
invisible and in their ignorance-check out THEIR public schools- they
vilify equally poor and oppressed black Americans.All the moral effluvia
directed at " hate " is just good for futile Sunday sermons-unless
social inequality in capitalist America is honestly challenged. I hear
this only from the Bernie Sanders campaign. Of course, independent
socialists have never ignored the Class Struggle.But the two party
system routinely ignores them.
Why not just declare WAR ON HATRED too ? And appoint a new bureaucratic Czar ?
