Even gay marriage is always about MONEY !
As a democratic Socialist I naturally approve the Supreme Court officially legalizing gay marriage. You simply cannot have a couple " married " in one state and not another. But also, as a Socialist influenced by both Marxist " historical materialism " and Catholic social philosophy, I can only offer a sardonic smile listening to the " politically correct " Left making sappy and sentimental tributes to bourgeois state marriage as being all about LOVE validation. Legal state marriage is all about private property rights. Indeed bourgeois marriage is a pillar of social inequality and capitalist consumerism.
For a socialist bachelor like me an expensive gay wedding is just a farce of a farce. Now I must get back to that stack of books on divorce here at the Cranston Public Library. You would think- browsing these books- that marriage is always about MONEY !
