I am very much a leftist but I have a sympathetic ear for Jeb
Bush-the Catholic convert.Why ? Because almost all the other Republican
candidates for president seem to worship the militant atheist Ayn Rand. I
wish Jeb Bush would deepen his appreciation of Catholic social
philosophy which has been accepted teaching of the Church long before
Pope Francis.You can be a good Catholic and love the Free Market. But
for God's sake you cannot preach " The Virtue of Selfishness ". Too many
individuals on the left have become indecent in their contempt for
people of faith -ALL faiths.
I often reflect on the words of a character in a Dostoevsky novel : " If God does not exist, then everything is permitted ". Think about it. Now back to the Bernie Sanders campaign.
