A democratic Socialist myself I find nothing ridiculous about the
liberal Lincoln Chafee or his candidacy for president of the United
States. A willingness to COMMUNICATE with ISIS is just plain political
and ethical sanity. The news media here gives us a comic book image of
ISIS - worthy of the obnoxious Islamophobe, Pamela Geller.And stubborn
rejection of the metric system has led to a number of NASA disasters.
The new owners of the Providence Journal can't stomach the more genteel politics of old New England 's wealthy families. Now and then- even for a socialist- CLASS has a pleasant connotation. I like Chafee.The neo-cons have made even LIBERAL a dirty word.
