Whatever the rational explanation for an increasing suicide rate for girls fatuous " identity politics " offers no solution for the tragedy . The capitalist rat race is hard on both boys and girls. Neo-liberal thought wants to marginalize half-the human race and even the MAJORITY of the voting population . Some self-appointed moral elite gets to decide what goes in a " democracy " ? The " liberal " Democrats imagine that every drama of " identity politics " can point the way to the re-conquest of political dominance in the 2020 election.
Notable also is the increased suicide rate among middle aged , white working class males. Were they finally disillusioned with the joys of " white supremacy " ?
