" Socialism " can survive only as a quasi- religious movement - similar to early Christianity in the Empire of Rome

Please read Ron Ruggieri's above post on the " socialist " alternatives- actually referring to the Socialist Equality Party led by one David North and the Socialist Worker Party in the USA led by on Jack Barnes.

As a democratic socialist who voted for Ralph Nader in 2000- with no apologies - I do not condemn desperate working class and middle class voters looking for the " lesser evil " in the Democratic Party.

But Nader and the Old Left were still right : The Democratic Party and the Republican Party are but the left and right wings of ruling class power , of Corporate America.
If SOCIALISM is to survive as an IDEA , it must transform itself into a quasi-religious movement very similar to Christianity before Constantine and the long dying of the Roman Empire.

I think a hundred years of failure finally writes the book on ALL pretentious , budding totalitarian VANGUARD socialist parties- Marxist , Leninist, Maoist , Trotskyist , Castroist.

But I cannot empower with a vote any treacherous Democratic politicians loyal ultimately to the American plutocracy. The Democratic Party now embraces the FBI, the CIA , the Pentagon War Crimes Machine, the vicious Israel lobby ( which preferred " Corrupt Hillary " ) .
