Most people have strong religious instincts . Thank God !

The Democrats have slightly different tactics for preserving plutocratic rule in the USA from Republicans. Like threatened ruling classes in the past the American ruling class might in their " shadow government " select a STRONG MAN( like Hitler ) who keeps his distance from the Establishment parties and can be promoted as " The Man of the People ". 

There is no reason to believe that the ruling class has a " split personality " in dealing with the real world. The typical " two faced hypocrite " in every day life is not a clinical schizophrenic . He is just playing a game.

Once you bless " liberal " Democrats like Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren with your precious vote you are inclined to make excuses for them the moment they show blatant treachery.
I am a registered Democrat in Rhode Island by inertia . I have voted for various " socialist " parties as the lesser evil. I did vote for Bill Clinton twice as he was just my age , had protested the Vietnam War, had promised a real national health care plan . I voted for Bernie Sanders in the Rhode Island Democratic Primary . Then Bernie betrayed my trust by endorsing " Corrupt Hillary ", " Hawk Hillary ", " Wall St. Hillary ".

I was not fooled by the myth of Barack Obama. Many good people I know were.
More than 2000 years ago the 12 apostles of Jesus Christ did a better job of spreading a " subversive " ( LOVE subversive ! ) new religious doctrine in the formidable Roman Empire than our futile " socialist " sects today, sects which often degenerate into weird personality cults with their SUPREME LEADER running the show for PROFIT for decades - and establishing no roots at all in the working class ( they never get more than an official ZERO percent of the vote ) .

SOCIALISM as an ideal needs a sounder " propaganda " idea than pugnacious " class struggle " . You have millions of well meaning middle class or upper class individuals turned off by strictly CLASS politics. Also , nowhere do you find groups of working class individuals - innocent of sectarianism- clamoring for the " dictatorship of the proletariat. ".

If global capitalism can end life on earth , then the struggle against it becomes a question of species survival , of HUMAN RACE survival . It becomes a SACRED cause . Bashing God and religion- in the manner of the New Atheists and dogmatic Marxist cults- will not help at all. Most human beings on this threatened planet have strong religious instincts. Thank God !
