It is impossible to become any kind of progressing scholar when you are HOMELESS, hungry, insecure about tomorrow.
The best preparation for college is being able to lock yourself up in a comfortable room at night and focus on homework assignments and FREE CHOICE reading for several hours .
You cannot do this when your personal living conditions are a chaotic mess.
Poverty is no place to daydream about " what I will be when I grow up ". What kid chooses to be a FAILURE ? Un-regulated , un-feeling CAPITALISM does not feel his or her pain.
