Scenes from Peggy Noonan's book would make a captivating Hollywood movie. Popular family entertainment or when she describes Washington-NewYork Babylon high society, R-rated with hints of " The Exorcist " or " Great Gatsby " Can the good Irish-Catholic girl be unsoiled by all this ?
As I just finished reading the whole book, that put me in early Clinton Era time warp ( a " Peggy Sue Got Married eerie feeling ) , I know what I am talking about .
Scenes of a younger, satanic Donald Trump and a younger, devilish Bill Clinton in " Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" could revive the Catholic Church's " CONDEMNED MOVIES " list .
I am an independent democratic socialist amused by Noonan's upper class conservative Catholicism that misses the old Pre-Vatican II gravitas and mystique.
Peggy Noonan is a very interesting writer and decent human being.
