As a democratic socialist I take a dim view of " intellectual property " . But I also take a dim view of greed. I note that this Harvard department chair was a world famous chemist : [ "Thomson Reuters predicted Lieber to be a recipient of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. In 2012 Dr Lieber, was awarded Israel's Wolf prize in Chemistry. He, along with 40% of the recipients, is Jewish. "] WIKI - BIO .
Here in Rhode Island Dr. Lieber was recognized for his prize 1610 pound pumpkin in 2010 . Which an irony of history connects him to the Cold War spy scandal involving Alger Hiss and one Mr. Chambers . The documents EVIDENCE against Hiss were hidden in a hollowed out PUMPKIN on the family farm.
