College professors like Noam Chomsky are more viciously silenced by the capitalist main stream news media in recent decades than during the Vietnam War era. Ironically the so called Left itself is doing most of the censoring - taking a cue even on " hate speech " from the venerable New York Times.

Asheen Phansey, adjunct professor at Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, was fired Thursday after posting a joke on his Facebook account related to US president Donald Trump’s threats to wage war against Iran.

Phansey wrote that the Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei should “tweet a list of 52 sites of cultural American heritage that he would bomb.” Phansey jokingly suggested some US sites for the Iranian military to target in retaliation: “Um… Mall of America?… Kardashian residence?”]

The totalitarian mind is quite humorless. In " OUR democracy " nobody should be ruined even for foolish thoughts and opinions . If Trump threatens Iranian cultural centers -indeed the whole country - with annihilation - must you be a fan of the theocracy to grant Iran self-defense rights ? I think Iran has as much right to a nuclear weapons defense system as Apartheid Israel. But being retired I cannot be fired or easily ruined by THEM .
