I always give critical support to any honest reformists. Very few well educated , well meaning Americans have been exposed to sophisticated criticism of the ruling capitalist class TWO PARTY SYSTEM. So I am always patient with friends and family who think : if there is hope , it must be with the Democrat Party .

My grandfather on my mother's side was a police officer here in Rhode Island during the Great Depression years . He had the tough South Providence beat . He said at Sunday dinner : " You will never get a dry bone from those Republicans ".

True FDR and the " Helping Hand " of government made a difference in the lives of millions. But his Democrat Party has gone neo-liberal for decades now,
