Most working class people in America " toil long hours for low, wages
". That has always been unacceptable to all those who dare call
themselves " socialists ". If you want a coherent position from a
Democrat on working class poverty, follow the speeches of Senator Bernie
Sanders of Vermont. He must hope that more popular democracy can sneak
a little socialist sanity into this all American capitalist nightmare.
Presently I am hearing Red Eye Radio rants-the same theme every minute-on the idiocy of socialism which, of course, " can't work ". These so called libertarians with cramped souls cannot even imagine any economic system beyond capitalist slavery.
By the way, ancient slavery-lasting for many centuries-did indeed WORK- for the slave masters. That a system " works " for its chief beneficiaries is no rational or ethical reason for blessing it-or continuing it.
