The Russian revolutionary Lenin thought in 1917 that capitalism was " incurably greedy ".

As a democratic Socialist I can only applaud the courageous Greek NO vote to austerity. The world plutocracy behind finance capital and international banking never demand ” discipline ” or austerity for their own class. Asked if capitalism could be reformed by peaceful means , the Russian revolutionary leader Vladimir Lenin replied NO . No, because the capitalist ruling classes of all nations were ” incurably greedy “. Lenin’s Bolshevik government repudiated all Czarist debts. Then Trotsky’s Red Army had to fight off their lackey generals in a bloody civil war. The Bolsheviks won!
One hundred years later the common people of world- like the common people of Greece- are ready to end global capitalism. And they have nothing to fear-as global capitalism is now a threat to all life on earth. Still, I hope Lenin was wrong about peaceful change.
