Cuban embargo justified by " poor human rights record " ?

As a citizen of the United States I am happy about this normalizing of diplomatic relations between the United States and Cuba. It is blatant hypocrisy to think that the present cruel embargo of Cuba has anything to do with a " poor human rights record ". The U.S. ruling class has no problem with numerous far right or fascist regimes. No problem with the human rights record of Pinochet in Chile-after the CIA arranged the assassination of the democratically elected president, Salvadore Allende, a rather naive Marxist.
The Republican Party would outlaw Socialism in the United States - as well as in Cuba. Can you quarantine a great and progressive idea ? Viva the Cuban Revolution

More than 50 years after the Cuban Revolution the " gusanos " in Miami still cry over private property -so hard earned under the Batista regime- and seized by the revolutionary titan Fidel Castro.
Are they hoping for a return to capitalist decadence in Cuba ? There is a scene in Godfather II where Michael Corleone views a Cuban " suicide bomber ". It makes this Mafia don reflect : "They are going to win ! ".

                                ***
"After witnessing a rebel suicide bombing in Havana, Cuba, Michael becomes convinced of the rebels' resolve to overthrow the dictator Fulgencio Batista. Fredo brings Michael money for a deal with Roth, but instead of giving it to Roth, Michael asks Roth who put out the hit on Pentangeli. Roth is reminded of his late friend Moe Greene—dead in a spate of Corleone killings—saying,  'This is the business we've chosen. I didn't ask who gave the order because it had nothing to do with business!'   "
Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio opposes normal diplomatic relations  with Cuba
