The influence of Professor Howard Zinn

Leftist professor Howard Zinn has influenced my political thinking for many years now. Every college student should at least read his essays on the CLASS nature of American capitalist society. Way back in 1967 I was reading his anti-war book " The Logic of Withdrawal " [ from Vietnam ] His classic textbook " A People's History of the United States " is written from the point of view of the MASSES- the exploited and oppressed. And though coming from a Jewish background himself, he was rather appalled by the undemocratic ambitions of Zionism. I recall him describing himself as " more or less a pacifist "
