The irony of a Picasso painting selling for $179 million! Picasso joined the French Communist Party in 1944 and never left it. A socialist-communist France would never have permitted precious works of art to be the exclusive PRIVATE PROPERTY of the rich. Nor would a socialist-communist France have recognized bourgeois INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY. It was this leftist world view that inspired the painting of Pablo Picasso. In America a Rockefeller ordered a Diego Rivera revolutionary mural destroyed. The great Mexican artist was a personal friend of Leon Trotsky. As was his wife Frida -also shared property.
