Coming from a Catholic background, I applaud the Pope's long overdue
recognition of the State of Palestine.Most of the world's Catholics can
more easily identify with the poor oppressed Palestinians than with
modern Apartheid Israel.Too many American Jews see anti-Semitism where
there is only hatred of injustice.
