Does Jeb Bush understand Catholic social philosophy ?
I have been reading a
religious classic-the old Baltimore Catechism. It clearly says that the
Catholic Church does not recognize as valid ANY marriage performed by
the state. So why should it be concerned if the state-separate from the
church-recognizes gay marriage ? But still separation of
church and state does not mean that the state must show contempt for the
religious conscience of millions of citizens. Does Catholic
social philosophy penetrate the soul of the Catholic convert Jeb Bush ?
Much Republican social philosophy is shaped by the militant atheist Ayn
Rand, the Queen of Mean.
