At age 71 I have been around a while . A lifelong socialist ( generic, I guess ) I wonder if David North is on a very short list of writers who write honestly ( whatever their partisan positions ) about the Russian Revolution, the Bolshevik leaders, the Stalinist corruption culminating in the collapse of the Soviet Union a generation ago . Name a few not too obscure others ?
Was not Trotsky right about " truth an orphan " in this world ?
The famous psychiatrist Sigmund Freud said that voice of reason is weak but does not rest until it gains a hearing .
