The ABCs of CLASS STRUGGLE certainly apply to modern Israel. It is
not anti-Semitism to assert that not even a bourgeois democracy can
tolerate an exclusive ethnic-religious identity. We have ACLU lawyers in
America-proud of their Jewish heritage-who are starry eyed over this
JEWISH state. No serious socialist would worship ANY nation
state-certainly not Zionist, apartheid Israel. There should be an ACLU
equivalent in Israel.
The United Nations was right way back in 1975 to declare Zionism a form of racism. Almost every "liberal " Democrat subscribes to the notion that anti-Zionism is a form of racism.
Too many left-wing Jewish" intellectuals " have become besotted with Zionism.They have lost their " socialist " souls.
I can appreciate the courage of the late Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky who support the human rights of the oppressed Palestinians.
Many Republicans are inspired by Ayn Rand Thought even on the question of " our special relationship with Israel ". The author of the " Virtue of Selfishness " thought the Palestinians were " inferior " to the arrogant Jewish settlers. Talk about " racism " !
