Democratic Socialism did not die with the death of the Stalinist Soviet Union

The candidacy of  " socialist "  Democrat Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont still has remarkable vitality in the cramped soul of the Democratic Party. The wisdom ON THE LEFT is that the establishment political machine will  reform the radical reformer a lot more quickly than he or she can reform the party as a whole.
But few American voters understood-before the Bernie Sanders phenomenon-that democratic Socialism did not die with the death of the Stalinist Soviet Union.
What alternative is there to the continuing economic crises and stupid wars of capitalist based nation-states ? The unprecedented migration crisis confirms the insight of the young Marx : " the workers of the world have no country ".
Have they ever awarded a Nobel Prize in economics to a left-wing economist who wanted to overthrow the capitalist system- like Belgian Marxist Ernest Mandel ?
It is a matter of sanity for young people to understand the mad world in which they seek meaningful employment and the security to get married and raise a family. But we are on the brink of becoming a failed species.
Many famous scientists were passionate socialists. Read " Why Socialism ? " by Albert Einstein.
Nobel Prize winner-and socialist- Linus Pauling inspired BAN THE BOMB movements around the globe. Give him a kind thought when watching the movie " The Day After " .
