I would like to hum Louis Armstrong song " What a Wonderful World " but reality kills the impulse

One of the first things I learned about my state of Rhode Island back in elementary school ( Broad Street School in Washington Park, Providence ) was that Rhode Island was not only the smallest state but the most densely populated state. After decades of ecological education nobody here should be eager for more population growth. Ideally the state should not have more than a population of half a million.
But VISTORS are welcome ! Any walker in the city will quickly notice a dearth of public restrooms. And hostile toned signs saying NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS.
It struck me that millions spent for promoting Rhode Island would be better spent cleaning up the Ocean State beaches.
The Gina Raimondo people -like many political hacks - seem to believe that PERCEPTION IS REALITY .
What is so idyllic about a walk in Roger Williams Park where I spot dog droppings everywhere and rubbish and dirty baby diapers on the ground ?
It does spoil a Splendor in the Grass spring or summer day.
A walker in the city would like to hum the Louis Armstrong song: " What a Wonderful World ". But reality kills the impulse.
That is what I think while staring down at the inscription " I Am Providence " on the H.P. Lovecraft grave in beautiful Swan Point Cemetery." What a wonderful world ", Louis Armstrong
