As a registered Democrat in Rhode Island I see a connection between President Obama betraying his promise to get us out of the hopeless-and as LOST as Vietnam- war in Afghanistan AND presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee's credible claim that he is being ridiculed and mocked as an embarrassing " loser " because of his rather bold and unambiguous anti-war position.
In truth " the establishment " is embarrassed by a man of conscience and social standing opposing their future ground war plans in Iraq- another lost cause.
In fact, the whole " war on terrorism " was rather stupid and pointless - a cover for business & imperialism as usual. You can TRUST CHAFEE here ! Only the United Nations now has any moral authority to LEAD a war against terrorism.
My favorite " insider " Bernie Sanders is soft on war compared to Lincoln Chafee. Too many American pacifists are quickly pacified on the day a war begins.
