Even the " good cop " can have a grudge against society

Good point. What type of cop would be eliminated from the force by careful psychological screening ? The very best of the police officers are soon corrupted by real privilege, a fawning business community, being fatuously idealized on TV and in the movie theaters. The better ones have written fascinating articles and books with that inside " internal affairs " perspective on police work. It is no accident that detective fiction usually has a high moral tone . Even the " good cop " can have a grudge against society.
Oddly enough, seeing EVIL up close and personal makes some cops surprisingly religious. But the root of this EVIL -this is what socialists think- is the irrational, unjust social order of capitalism.
On the job PRIVATE PROPERTY is more sacred than human life. When can that change ?
