A sense of sin is a good thing in a morally decaying world

chaplains must not call homosexuality a sin   I identify myself as a democratic Socialist but I also see the Catholic and Protestant traditional faith under government attack. I recall a book by the late great American psychiatrist Karl Menninger titled " Whatever Happened to Sin  ?  "
And yet the the state appreciates religion when it is used to bless the wickedness of the state. A chaplain is often an unctuous presence at a state execution. Prison chaplains preach submission to cruel and sadistic Authority. Military chaplains insinuate divine approval for any and every reckless war.
For 2000 years the Catholic Church has preached that sexual lechery and adultery is sinful.
Could chaplains at least preach that homosexual sex -outside of marriage-is a sin ?
I think a sense of sin is a good thing in a morally decaying world.
They support our wars with extreme unction
