Rex Sox idol David Ortiz , " Big Papi ", was really GOOD !
Very sad news about beloved Red Sox star David Ortiz " Big Papi ". This was reported on local radio this morning : in the operating room Ortiz tells the surgeons , " don't let me die. I'm a good person ".
In our last moments we will all wonder if we were GOOD - a sort of personal last judgment.
You were really GOOD, David. We hope for a complete recovery. The latest news is that there was damage to his internal organs.
[ One radio talk show host this afternoon on 630WPRO found the Ortiz quote a disturbing violation of medical ethics. I disagree. It is very HUMAN, all too HUMAN .]
