The era of socialist " vanguard parties " is over

I see a general implosion of these self-appointed VANGUARD Marxist-Leninist-Trotskyist socialist parties. They are invariably led by megalomaniacs ( with independent CAPITALIST bank counts ) . The devoted members of THE PARTY never fail to remind me of those daffy ” Clears ” in the daft Church of Scientology .
What amazes me is that none of the rigid sects seem to understand that the biggest mistake of the 1917 Bolshevik Revolution in Russia ( way before its Stalinist degeneration ) was making the country ” officially atheist “. Hostility to religious faith – Catholic , Protestant , Orthodox Jewish , Islamic- almost in fraternal alliance with the obnoxious New Atheism – characterizes these ” socialist ” parties who imagine that they have a patent on socialism and the blessing of HISTORY ( an intellectual substitute for the Holy Ghost ) . How can you build a mass movement without the (mostly religious ) masses ?
Next to implode , I suspect , is the ironically named Socialist Equality Party led by that arch-charlatan David North ( in real life David Green , owner of a NON-UNION printing company ) .
The party hacks police the pretentiously named World Socialist Web Site for pernicious deviations from the party line . One of their obtuse hyenas sized me up as ” their resident Catholic, anti-Semite, fascist ” . And after commenting on WSWS for several years and VOTING for their presidential candidates in 2016 ( White and Niemuth ) I was suddenly BANNED FROM THE WORLD SOCIALIST WEB SITE .
Indeed as an idea SOCIALISM is in the air and on the air in the USA . It has NOT conquered the Democratic Party ( and never will ) .
But the era of socialist vanguard parties is dead . In the USA I never met any working class person – innocent of THE PARTY – who was languishing with a longing for the DICTATORSHIP OF THE PROLETARIAT and dreaming of a bloody revenge on all class enemies everywhere.
I think SOCIALISM as an ideal can only survive as a quasi-religious movement.
