In my working class world in Cranston, Rhode Island I sense no feverish calls to impeach the LEGITIMATE president of the United States ,Donald Trump. Yet the loudest HATE TRUMP voice in the country is that of Rhode Island Congressman David Cicilline. A former corrupt mayor of Providence , Cicilline now gets national attention for his cheer leading for the HATE Russia , New McCarthyism. The talented LAWYER in him rejects objective truth in favor of demagogic truth or the BIG LIE .
Cicilline gets re-elected here in Rhode Island because the Democratic Party has a nearly Stalinist stranglehold on the state. Even a democratic socialist like myself would wish to see at least a competitive conservative Republican Party get its act together here just as an anti-dote to entrenched corruption.
Leading Democrats in Rhode Island often run for re-election UN-OPPOSED !
Yet they say that Rhode Island is " anti-business " . But the working class and the middle class feel downright oppressed in a Rhode Island soon to rival Detroit with its decaying cities.
A government that is perceived as " anti-business " and that oppresses the poor, the working class , and the middle class, can best be described as FASCIST- Indeed fascism not " socialism " is real trend in the national Democratic Party.
Rhode Island Congressman David Cicilline ,and our oh-so-progressive Governor Gina Raimondo, lead the way to the Orwellian future. The " Ocean State " is drowning in polluted waters.
