Local news for what it is worth in Rhode Island reported that there is much sympathy for talented actor Kevin Spacey in the town of Nantucket.
Would such an incident be that uncommon in any bar room -or gay bar room- in the country ? An hysterical " I was groped ! " would not be front page news during the blessed era known as " The Sexual Revolution ".
A passing thought : alcohol and drugs weaken your moral character -whatever your sexual preference.
And there is nothing sexy about brute selfishness. There is something sane and natural about Darwinian " sexual selection " - in nature mostly a female " privilege ". Which kept me looking out the window in the nightclubs I was dragged into by a libertine, hedonist dear friend - both of us still young back then. Always in the human dating game the white lie helps: " No, I am not married " , my friend told an attractive female " looker ". ( Or " Yes, do buy me a drink. I AM over 21 ", you know " ). Then again a Hemingway character gave this explanation for avoiding the dating game altogether : " Women are too much work ! "
