I agree that the PURPOSE of the resolution was to terrify any ambitious " progressive " Democrat who privately thinks -and knows - that Apartheid Israel is not quite the Golden Country , that it is, in fact, a mockery even of bourgeois democracy.
Imagine if Ireland declared itself, in a belligerent tone, an exclusively IRISH-CATHOLIC country ? The excuse being that the dear Irish get NO RESPECT anywhere else on the planet , not just in snobby England
