Under capitalism there is no CIVIL RIGHT for a decent living place. How can anybody be HOMELESS for any length of time and not be a mental and physical-soon unemployable - wreck ?
I see HOMELESS persons in Cranston, Rhode Island - some residents of the notorious Harrington Hall ( which even sounds like an 19th century tuberculosis ward ! ) - who seem to need IMMEDIATE medical and psychiatric attention. ACLU has heroically defended their RIGHT TO BEG in the middle of the streets.
The public schools give lectures on BULLYING here. But pure MEANNESS is never outlawed by the bourgeois legal system.
The root of the evil of HOMELESSNESS is sacrosanct PRIVATE PROPERTY rights.
A DEMOCRATIC SOCIALIST America will abolish parasite landlords and punish ALL slum lords .
