What a democratic socialist will bring to any debate on the Russia-Ukraine war - in the spirit of the FREE SPEECH, FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization - a tradition in an advanced state of decay - is the spirit and perspective of SOCIALIST INTERNATIONALISM which was very much alive in REVOLUTIONARY Russia of 1917. Some left wing historians might recall the excitement aroused by " Ten Days That Shook The World ". I do think that any attempt to ruin Russia , to ruin the Russian people , will revive their collective memory of the Bolshevik Revolution led by Lenin and Trotsky - which did indeed appeal to the hearts and minds of the workers of the whole world. But not to the American and British and French ruling classes. Just for the record, the Red Army won !
