I recall the Brown University of the " Tumultuous Sixties " and early 70s . There was PASSION back then for the ANTI-WAR movement , for more JUSTICE everywhere. Sad to say that in the past 50s years the students have succumbed to brainless support for WOKE ideas like Critical Race Theory , for obsession with the nth degree of " liberation " for exotic IDENTITY groups - as if " OUR democracy " no longer had any use for the very fundamental concept of MAJORITY RULE. It is a very ILLIBERAL LIBERALISM that shows year after year now a haughty contempt on the Brown University campus for the FREE SPEECH , FREE THOUGHT tradition of Western Civilization. And so tame , so uncontroversial , so lacking an EDGE is the student newspaper , the Brown Daily Herald , that I suspect the editor and the staff have been cleared by the DEEP STATE and the CIA. Or personally supervised by Brown's president . Way back in the 1950s Life Magazine reported that " The Beats " were the only rebellion in town . But nothing to " Howl " about in the year of our Lord 2022 ?
