I was a 13 year old student at Saint Michael's in Providence, Rhode Island when presidential candidate JFK spoke before Providence City Hall . The nuns were so proud of this soon to be FIRST Catholic president. I recall my 7th grade class soon dedicated a statue of Saint Michael still there many years later in the front of the church.
