Bertrand Russell's " A History of Western Philosophy "

 This book should be read by every college bound high school student and every already fossilized liberal arts major . I did read it again( ? ) from cover to cover ten years ago. I recall enjoying Will Durant's " Story of Philosophy " while still in the 10th or 11th grade. I recall one girl classmate telling me that she " might go crazy " if she read books like that . I might have gone crazy if I did not read " search for WISDOM " philosophy books. Around 1968 ( the peak year of the Tumultuous Sixties ) I read Viktor Frankl's " Man's Search for Meaning ". Some very profound ideas in that book . Like : if a person has a WHY to live he or she can put up with any HOW .
