Socialists reject Aristotle's view that " some people are slaves by nature "

Why is the far-right benefiting from the crisis of capitalism?

I can imagine Leon Trotsky writing a perpetual " Diary in Exile " with its daily theme being the prolonged death agony of capitalism. Again 2+ 2 = 4. George Orwell's hero , Winston Smith , keeps a diary in " 1984 " and reasons that objective reality is the ultimate enemy of " Big Brother " and the fascist state nightmare.

I think we can apply the biological concept of " punctuated equilibrium " to the human social order : long periods of rot and then SUDDENLY dizzying change and " revolution ".

Of course , any radical socialist will simply degenerate morally and intellectually if he or she passively adjusts to the dreary status quo.

The working class-on an optimistic note- now has some amazing technology -despite GOOGLE - available for revolutionary propaganda.
Working class people cannot possibly love wage slavery anymore than the slaves in the ancient world loved slavery.
There was always the threat of a Spartacus revolt. And there were always ruling class intellectuals like Aristotle to say that " some people are slaves by nature ".
